From researching and creating your own vegetarian meal you have always wished you could make, to learning authentic delicious Thai dishes that transport you to the streets of Bangkok, to enjoying a day of organic strawberry picking and a relaxing lunch at one of the green farms of HongKong, it’s time for you to become a vegExplorer!

Join this programme and have a fun-filled CAS week while learning new life-skills and enjoying your own cooked food!

Day 1

10:00 a.m- 1:00p.m

RCHK food lab

Introduction and expectations.

Grouping (3 students per group- 6 groups in total)

Researching on a veg meal

Creating Purchase order for ingredients for chosen recipe to cook on Thursday 10th Nov with a maximum budget of $400 per group

Day 2

10:30a.m - 2:00 p.m

BitUnite co- working kitchen space Wanchai

10:30 a.m: Students meet  teachers at the designated place at Wanchai MTR station (students arrive on their own. Exact location will be shared with them on Monday 7th Nov) 

11:00a.m - 2:00p.m: Students undertake their culinary experience of learning to cook   Veg Thai street food in BiteUnite Wanchai.

LUNCH: Students can eat their delicious cooking (lunch) at BiteUnite.

2:00 p.m : Students will be free to find their way back home on their own.

Day 3

10:30 a.m - 2:00 p.m

BiteUnite co- working kitchen space Wanchai


10:30 a.m:  Students meet  teachers at the designated place at Wanchai MTR station (students arrive on their own.They will meet at the same location as on 8th Nov) 

11:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m: Students have a culinary experience of learning to cook Japanese cuisine by a member chef at  BitUnite. Students learn Japanese Sushi and Mochi cooking

LUNCH: Students can eat their delicious cooking (lunch) at BiteUnite.

2:00 p.m : Students will be free to find their way back home on their own

Day 4

10:00- 2:00

RCHK food lab

Students to conduct a sensory analysis of their meal as feedback

LUNCH: Students can eat their own preparation (lunch) at RCHK.

Day 5

10:00- 1:00

Additional Notes: Students are expected to arrive on TIME!



Requirements:

- no skills

- lunch is included on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday only.  

- Students should have enough money in their octopus cards for travel to Wanchai for 2 days.
