CAS Week 2019

Renaissance College

Jockey Club Sarah Roe School

Would you enjoy working with children with a variety of special needs? Are you ready for a challenge?

Here students will work with primary or secondary students with severe to profound learning difficulties.

Students may have an opportunity to work with one of the school’s therapists in physio, art/music therapy, speech therapy or occupational therapy.

You MUST have a high level of communication skills and be a good communicator as well as a patient and caring approach, and an enthusiasm for working with people.

All students MUST attend an induction session at JCSRS before CAS Week.

"I really enjoyed learning to deal with both young children and children with special needs, and also getting to know the children and how the system works. It's different than what you would expect it to be." ~ Pina Brandner
"I enjoyed going to the the sports day with the students at JCSR and being able to closely interact with the kids and learning how to teach students with mental disabilities. I felt like one week is not enough time, as the last day is when we are familiar with them, but then we have to leave. When you see some of the students, you'll be grateful for what you have." ~ Jessica Lau
