Day 5

By Neha & Jasmine

On Wednesday we woke up at 4:30am for a morning safari, it was very cold!!

But it all payed off as we were able to see many animals including rhinos, water buffalo, a lioness, hyenas, zebras, impalas, dwarf mongooses, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and LOTS OF ELEPHANTS!!! we saw so many baby elephants, we saw more elephants than we saw in any previous safari combined, the babies were as young as 3 months.

There is a special bird here that everyone calls the go away bird, this is because their call sounds like it is telling people/animals to GO AWAY!

After breakfast at 9:30, we did a scavenger hunt in teams, searching for different types of trees as well as birds, we had to include the name/Scientific name. We also wrote interesting facts we learned about animals throughout the trip.

Later on everyone enjoyed the shop in our new location, snacks as well as many little souvenirs were a HIT!!

At around 3:30pm we left again for an afternoon safari, where we once again were able to see: baby hyenas, lions and new animals such as the leopard, it was not easy to find as we have noticed that all the animals are able to camouflage very well in the wild.

FUN FACT: We successfully saw the entire big 5 in ONE DAY!

When we got back from the safari we had dinner, after that we played a fun game of Charades/heads up and it was a very hilarious and enjoyable activity to end the day with!
