DESIGN AND MAKE YOUR OWN EXPERIMENTAL FOOTWEAR
We know that our habit of making and using the stuff in our lives has to change. We are taking this moment to find a new point of view, by reflecting upon our intentions, our resources, our processes.
We are looking for innovative solutions that are delightful and sustainable. We are seeing our role as a link in a system that plugs into the boundless creative force of nature and transforms it into the power of commerce which creates wealth through craft, community and culture. Innovation is not about creating stuff.
In this fun and creative workshop, students will be introduced to shoe introduction and simple leather /shoe making processes. You will be researching, creating and making your own pair of shoes, using sustainable materials, leather and your own “INNOVATIVE” process of making your own pair. There will be a guided tour of SHAM SHUI PO to give you an introduction to the place and shops. You’ll be given the freedom to purchase your own materials to be added into your shoes.
